Low cost gift ideas are at the forefront of a lot of people’s minds right now! Here are some of my favorite ideas for low cost gifts that’ll be sure to delight your loved ones.
This post is all about 5 Low Cost Gift Ideas For The Holiday Season
1. Bake a batch of treats
Check out some super simple box to homemade recipes that I’ve put together for you!
Not only are my box to homemade tasting recipes simple to make, they’re really affordable.
You can also check out my other baking recipes which are equally affordable. They’ll make the perfect low cost gift this holiday season.
2. Write “just in case” letters
I love a good letter writing session. And letters make super sentimental, unique, and affordable, gifts.
Letter ideas could include: “to read when you’re feeling blue,” or “to read when you’re feeling overwhelmed.”
These letters will come right when your loved ones need them. I think it’s a gorgeous gift and won’t cause you financial stress either!
3. Gift your talent
Play a musical instrument? Love knitting? Know how to draw?
Gift your loved one one of your talents!
In lieu of spending money we didn’t have as kids, my sister and I would make “Christmas concert programs” and perform Christmas carols on our violins for my parents.
Not only did my parents appreciate the hard work we put into rehearsing, our performances really amped up the Christmas atmosphere for all of us.
4. Volunteer your time
Last year, I volunteered my time to picking up trash with a local group of volunteers, instead of gifting my mum a physical present.
Take pics of your volunteering session, and make a card which includes the pictures!
That way, your loved one will still have something to “open”.
5. Gift a houseplant
I absolutely love when people gift me houseplants. Not only are they a pretty addition to your home, they last.
There are lots of affordable plants out there and they’re a long term present to your loved ones.
Want to make it extra special? Write a little a little card or note with your houseplant with instructions on “how to take care of me”!
