Tips and Tricks
- Use a store bought box brownie mix from your local supermarket for amazing taste and convenience. I personally love Betty Crocker. I go for classic chocolate brownies for the best brownies recipe!
- If you want fudgy brownies, under bake your brownies for that homemade taste.
- If you want those marshmallow crunch brownies, definitely purchase “original” graham crackers, as opposed to vegan or gluten free, for the best crunchy texture.
- Brownies with Nutella (this recipe calls for Nutella, but it’s optional) are scrumptious, but I highly recommend you use the Nutella brand as opposed to a store brand. Nutella has a certain something when it comes to the taste.
FAQs
- Can I use canola oil for brownies? You can, but I don’t recommend it. For a homemade taste, substitute any oil for butter. If you want to use oil, use olive oil.
Ingredients
- 1x box brownies mix made according to directions
- 1/2 a cup of Nutella
- 1 cup of mini marshmallows
- 1x box of original Graham Crackers (use approximately 6 crackers, depending on how crunchy you want your brownies)
Directions
- Line an 8×8 baking tin with parchment paper.
- Turn the oven on at the temperature instructed on the brownie mix packet.
- Combine your brownie mixture according to the packet.
- Now add the s’mores ingredients: the marshmallows, graham crackers and Nutella! Mix with a spatula.
- Pour the mixture into your baking pan and put it in the oven. I suggest under baking the brownies to get them gooey and fudgy; I keep a close eye on them (I check them every five minutes after the first 20 minutes) so I don’t over bake them.
- Remove the brownies from oven, let them cool for 1-2 hours, then slice up with a plastic knife (wipe the knife between cuts) before keeping them in the fridge.
