Tips and Tricks
- Adding flavor to your buttercream can be a game changer! You can add lemon, orange, coffee.. my personal favorite is Oreos!
- The more whipping cream you add, the smoother the buttercream.
- I recommend sifting your powdered sugar before your start combining the ingredients. This will make for a smoother consistency and prevent clogging in your piping bag.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butted
- 4 tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
Directions
- Using an electric hand mixer, mix the butter and salt for about 30 seconds.
- Add the sugar gradually as you mix it with the butter and salt. (You will need to scrape the mixture off the whisks and put it back in the bowl as you mix.)
- As you continue to mix, add the cream and then the vanilla. Mix until the frosting is fluffy!
